Max/K5PP, Buzz/N5UR, Bob/N5ET, Mike/W5ZPA, and Don/W5FKX drove down to Grand Isle, LA to participate in the IOTA contest as N5I from NA-168. We were all guests at the Lost Boys camp of Tim Clement and Russell Heim, business associates of Max & Buzz. While Russell and Tim labored to put the finishing touches on the camp, we toiled at the radio! Photos courtesy of Bob/N5ET.

The annual Grand Isle Tarpon
Fishing Rodeo was held that weekend ...
|
.. and the traffic on Saturday was continuous all day and late into the night! |
We had
a great time and, despite noise and poor conditions, managed to provide
a contact with NA-168 to
quite a few stations world-wide. Our sincere thanks to Russell, Tim, and
all of the Lost Boys for their wonderful hospitality. |
